Temporary Closure of the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre

Please be advised that the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre will close at 16:00 on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

THE BASILICA WILL REMAIN CLOSED THROUGHOUT WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2026.

During this period, access to the Basilica will be strictly prohibited, except for authorized personnel.

The temporary closure is necessary due to a critical maintenance issue requiring immediate attention.

The Basilica is expected to reopen on the morning of Thursday, September 3, 2026, at its regular opening hours.

Should there be any last-minute changes to this schedule, they will be announced through this notice.
