IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR THE EASTER VIGIL
Catholic faithful who wish to attend the Easter Vigil at the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 6:30 a.m., are kindly asked to take note of the following instructions:

Entry to the Old City must be made exclusively through the New Gate, between 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

After 6:00 a.m., the New Gate will no longer be accessible for entrance to the celebration.

Due to the significant security arrangements in place for the Orthodox Holy Fire ceremony, access to the Basilica will be limited and strictly controlled.
Those who enter during the designated time will gather in the courtyard of Saint Savior Monastery, from where they will be escorted to the Easter Vigil.
Please also be advised that, at the conclusion of the Mass, all participants must exit the Basilica.
Remaining inside will not be permitted, as the entire church will be cleared in preparation for the Orthodox celebration.
