March 29 - Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord

H. Sepulcher:

March 30 – Monday of Holy Week

5th Station: 6:00 – 8:00 Masses every ½ hour

Holy Sepulcher:

  • 7:00 Mass in Arabic (Calvary)
  • 8:00 Daily Solemn Mass
  • 17:00 Daily Procession

Bethany: 18:00 Solemn Mass

 

March 31 – Tuesday of Holy Week

Holy Sepulcher:

  • 8:00 Solemn Mass with singing of the Passion
  • 17:00 Daily Procession

 

April 1 – Wednesday of Holy Week

Gethsemane: 8:00 Solemn Mass with singing of the Passion

Holy Sepulcher:

  • 8:00 Solemn Mass with singing of the Passion & Daily Procession
  • 10:00 Veneration of the Column of the Flagellation throughout the day in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel
  • 16:00 Office

 

April 2 – Holy Thursday

Holy Sepulcher:

  • 8:00 Entrance followed by the Pontifical Mass of the Lord’s Supper (with Washing of the Feet) & Procession of the Blessed Sacrament Soon after the Services (12:00 noon) the doors are closed. No entry or exit after the doors are closed.
  • 14:45 Office The Basilica doors will open, and close shortly afterwards. The doors will open at 18:00 for people to exit. The Basilica remains closed for the rest of the day.

Cenacle – St. James – St. Mark: 15:30 Pilgrimage Departure from St. Saviour Convent at 15:10

Gethsemane:

  • 21:00 Holy Hour in the Basilica of the Agony
  • 22:00 – 00:00 Private prayer in silence

Photography is not allowed during the Holy Hour or during the silent time of prayer.

 

April 3 – Good Friday

Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher: The doors open only for those attending the service, not for visits, and closes shortly afterwards.

Calvary: 8:15 Passion of the Lord The doors will open at 10:30 and remain open for the rest of the day.

Via Crucis starting at the 1st Station: 11:30 with the Franciscan Friars

Holy Sepulcher:

  • 16:00 Office
  • 20:10 Funeral Procession

 

April 4 – Holy Saturday

Holy Sepulcher:

  • 7:30 Easter Vigil
  • 15:30 Solemn Entrance & Solemn Procession
  • 18:00 Vespers in front of the Edicule
  • 00:30 Pontifical Celebration of the Liturgy of the Hours in front of the Edicule

 

April 5 – Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord

Holy Sepulcher:

  • 7:30 Simple Entrance
  • 8:00 Pontifical Mass & Solemn Procession
  • 17:00 Daily Procession

 

April 6 – Easter Monday

Emmaus (Qubeibeh): 10:00 Pontifical Mass & Blessing of Bread by the Custos

14:00 Vespers

Holy Sepulcher:

  • 8:00 Daily Solemn Mass
  • 17:00 Daily Procession
