Franciscan Pilgrims Office (FPO)

The Franciscan Pilgrims Office provides a bookings and reservations service for priests, Religious Communities and pilgrimage groups. Reservations are made for the shrines under the care of the Custody of the Holy Land - for Masses, Holy Hours at Gethsemane, solemn entrances to the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre, as well as other services in the churches of the Holy Land.


Requests for bookings are accepted by email or fax, or in person at the Christian Information Centre office. The office coordinates the reservations schedule and then sends a daily list of bookings to the authorities in each shrine.

At Christmas, the Franciscan Pilgrims Office manages and distributes the invitations to the Christmas Midnight Mass at the Franciscan church of St Catherine, attached to the Basilica of the Nativity in Bethlehem. These invitations are free.
